Laser Piles Treatment
Laser piles treatment is a minimally invasive surgery procedure that uses lasers to shrink the piles in the rectum.
It is an outpatient procedure in which the laser beam shrinks the blood vessels and seals them.
Patients can return to their normal activities two to three weeks after their surgery. The pain can be mild and more of a discomfort rather than excruciating one due to the minimal scarring laser options.
Recovery Process
- Immediate Post-Treatment Recovery
Hospital stay is not generally required for a laser piles treatment. There is little blood loss and the procedure can take as little as 30 minutes to 2-3 hours.
Pain and discomfort can be felt as the anesthesia wears off. It takes about six to twelve hours before the anesthesia wears off.
Pain from laser surgery is usually much less than the conventional surgery and can be mild.
Pain medications will be prescribed by your doctor when getting discharged.
